On Tuesday afternoon, Kalli/Brandy and Mankind Tracer threw a fabulous welcome party for new Miss Virtual World 2012 Anna Sapphire at CLUB GRAFFITI in The Village. The uber fantastic Mankind Tracer (aka Seth Ragen) was on hand to perform a live set of fabulous all acoustic, unplugged rock tunes.

The crowd at the event was a who’s who of fashionistas, designers and Miss & Mister Virtual World contestants past and present. Of course, I could not resist the opportunity to capture some shots of the gorgeous party guests, although Mr. Frolic Mills managed to escape before I could tackle him for a shot. Happily, I was able to catch the guest of the evening, Miss Virtual World 2012 Anna Sapphire — looking very punk fabulous — grooving to the awesome tunes, flanked by Mister Greece 2011 Daniele Eberhardt and supermodel Arialee Miles.

Fashion styling for the party ranged from funky to formal, with some guests letting it all hang out while others opted for a more demure and elegant look. Miss Melusina Parkin, CEO of MEB Fashion, arrived ready to rock out and dance!

Christmas Madame! Now available at Solidea Folies!

I sometimes think the true magic of Christmas is somehow lost on children. Most children truly believe in the Spirit of Christmas and as such they possibly miss some of the magic around them. The infectious joy is a mundane normality to them and in their rush through the day, they enjoy the “things” they have received but forget to enjoy the feelings, the happy moments of life that is created. These get squirreled away for the bleak moments in adulthood when we have a vague memory and wish we could live those days just one more time.  I wish there was a way to bottle this magic for adulthood because with age we learn to better savor that which is good, and pure joy, well, that’s the most sublime feeling of all things. But, as adults, we have somehow lost this ability to cast away cares and implant the soft seeds of happiness that would fill our hearts with glad tidings and lightness.

So, if I could make one grown up Christmas Wish it would be that we could implant in one another an entire field of seeds for this year. In our actions and deeds with one another, with our willingness to just laugh and smile, at ourselves and with others.  To not sit in judgment or condescension, but to embrace one another’s dreams, to hold each other’s hearts dear and enable, or further another’s goals above our own, because often, so very often actually, it’s the journey that is the highest award, not the winning of the contest. I hope you will think about this, ponder, if even just a tiny bit, but also, I wish each and every one of you to know, I am scattering my seeds like bright shiny stars into the winds and hope so much, they spread across Second Life and land in a small corner of each of your hearts! You have all brought to me so much joy this year; I will always wish to scatter it back to you! Thank you all!

This wish is brought to you with the whimsy and creativity of the beautiful Ms. Mila Tatham of Solidea Folies, a friend who always makes my heart glad, her designs guarantee me a huge childlike smile, and her kindness has many times filled me with joy! Now that’s the stuff Second Dreams should be created of. MuWah! Happy New Year, my beautiful friends! <3  Taxi:
