I recently wrote a script for an upcoming show and those who know me know I have avowed to never, ever write a show script again. But when Auntie Mimmi (Boa) takes the time to call, there are very few of her hunnies who would deny her anything, I’d say 99.9% of her students just adore her so much we would try to move the mountains to help her. But this will get stacked up in the “Life is Funny” column when I think back over it years from now.
I have made it known often, that if I am in a blogger’s group and too busy to blog, I just do not open the package, I don’t feel its right to take something when, due to time constraints, I am not going to blog or at least post a photo on Flickr and Facebook. So with amazement I diligently wrote the script for one of my favorite designers, Nevery Lorakeet of *LpD* (Les Petites Details). Nevery is a designer, who I work with on a regular basis as her blog manager, the designer I first fell in love with when I tried on a pair of much loved pink cowboy boots! Somehow she knows, as does all of my big Italian family, that fashion should be fun, it should be whimsy, it should make you feel whatever emotion you seek to feel at that particular moment because clothing is not unlike a persons need for comfort food. As I wrote about each dress the writing was so easy, the creations were fun, chic and yes, all about the smallest of details.
Towards the end of the script I came across the “Holiday Time” dress and as I cross-referenced my writing with the picture of the dress on the Second Life Marketplace, I just instantly fell in love! This dress is playful with its layers upon layers of crinoline and silk! Beginning with a sweet ruffling under the breast, the bodice is strapless and fitted, showing an achingly sexy stretch of bare shoulder and neckline. The dress really needs no accessory, but I used a red pearl necklace from Dahlinks to bring the attention slowly back to my face and topped the look with the equally playful “faces” hat from *SoliDea FoliEs* Life should be about uncomplicated fun! If you are looking for something to add breath to your wardrobe, check out *LpD* I think you will be happy you did! Taxi:
